Default 6-CD Changer Issue - LOAD, EJECT, CD ERRORS!

I just bought a 2007 Ford Fusion not more than 3 weeks ago and upon
attempting to load my in-dash CD changer for the very first time to use it,
on loading the last disk, I got an error message before the system advised
me to load the disk and the whole thing has locked me out. I try to eject
the other disks and they won't eject, they won't play, and I cannot load the
last one. I get LOAD ERROR, EJECT ERROR and CD ERROR any time I attempt to
do anything. I put in only store-bought CD's too.

The dealer told me that these changers take a beating, however, this is a
brand new car and the CD player has never been used before. This is the
very first attempt and it fails. So, for them to say that, I disagree with
    them.

Has anyone else had this problem with these Audiophile radio/6CD changers
and how many times did you have to replace your radios? I have a bad
feeling about this after digging up a bit of research over this weekend and
I kind of get the feeling that this car will be going back to the dealer
again in the near future for the same exact issue again, after they replace
the original radio. If they fail that easily, who is to say that it is
not going to do that same thing again?

Comments? Solutions? I have a 6-year 72k warranty, so it is covered, but
that is not the point. I'm almost prepared to get used to that fact and the
radios will be getting replaced often.

I don't know if I have the same type of CD changer that you have, but I
had an incident that was similar on my Lincoln LS. What I noticed was
there was a CD that had not totally ejected. Look at the slot for
loading CD's and see if there is ANY part of one protruding. If so,
pull it out with tweezers or some needle pointed pliers. I never had
another problem after having removed the CD (one which I had burned) so
I assume it was the CD and not the mechanism.

I had one go bad on my 03 Escape a few years ago, got it replaced under
    warranty.

On occasion I'll find a disc that was burnt on a cheap CD that won't
read but it's pretty rare, also don't put any burnt CD's with homemade
labels on them, they won't fit or won't come out if they do go in.

I had a 6 CD changer on my Freestar 2006 and I had it replaced with a
single Ford CD player. That Ford CD 6 Disc Changer is apparently
operating in such a tight space and at very high temperatures causing
troubles with any homemade CDs that have labels on them......no matter
how tight and professional the paper label. Actually the single CD
Player is just as bad as the 6 CD Changer because this is what happens
when you paly a homemade CD with a label. For 20 minutes no problems
then after that it starts to skip bars then stops and starts
erratically eventually totally stopping..........at least with the
single CD player you can eject the stopped CD and get it
back........with the 6 CD changer......the whole system ceases up and
the eject function won't work........and that 6 CD laser reader has
ruined two of my CDs......did something to them I don't know
what....CD player is a piece of crap.......best solution is to play
your CDs through your walkman and connect your walkman to the aux
input on the DVD rooftop player.........works beautifully no
problems.....also connect your satellite radio from the DVD Aux on the
roof with a Y cord (2 phonos to a mini) to the input on the satellite
box.....goodbye and good riddance to Satellite radio on FM
bands......which is bad bad news for people travelling across the
US.....This is my third Ford Minivan and this audio package which is
the top of the line is the worst of all three cars I have
driven.......The Windstar 02 with the Cassette port and an Aux
connection was the best....the CD player played anything and
everything....for as long as you wanted........those were the good
    Ford Days !!!

I hope the rest of the car wasn't designed by the same idiots that put
    together this 06/07 audio package.

Perhaps you missed the warning in the owner's manual that
you should not play CDs with paper adhesive labels.
    Is case you did -
you should not play CDs with paper adhesive labels.

Do not put them backwards in the changer.

Do not write on them with a ballpoint pen.

AND (not specified in my manual), do not try to play the CD changer in
your Grand Marquis at -25C expecting it to *not* skip AND/OR try to swap
    CDs

My seats were about as comfortable as presswood. Tranny lagged when
engaging it in Drive, everything was *fscking frozen*. (could hear the
steering pump complaining, car was handling like a Honda...)

When the air compressor came on, it sounded like it wanted to get out of
    the car

Starter whined & noisyly complained when I started the car, then the
engine decided to go to about 1,500-2000 RPM (cold air) while all the
oil was in solid state in the pan

Metal-on-metal is *so* good for engine life

    Gotta love living in Montreal

(can't plug it in, I'm never near my appartment
